Thankful

Wow, a month has flown by since Positively Purvis has begun its venture. I’m truly thankful and happy that I  have family, friends, and new friends who have supported me through this process.

This time last year I registered for my website not really knowing if I was ever going to make it public. It’s taken me a year because I’m not the most tech-savy person and I don’t strive to be either. So, the support center of Word Press pretty much knows me on a first name basis. I really have a passion for connecting with people  and decorating so the fancy software lingo wasn’t going to stop me.

During my venture in the last year I met with a few small business organizations and they gave me their “master plan” on how to own a successful business. I wasn’t ready for a store front nor was I ready to financially invest in something that I just began to research. It was really tough figuring out how to mesh decorating and encouraging people in one business model.

So, I began to research every night after my husband and children were sleeping. And, after a period of time I  soon discovered decor bloggers. The light bulb in my head literally switched on when I landed on some of my favorite decor bloggers’ website, Julie from Seattle, Washington at http://www.littlefarmstead.com and Linda from Mobile, Alabama at http://www.coastalcharm.com. If both of you are reading this, thank you for your inspiration and encouragement in the last year.

This blog really gives me joy, and I hope it does the same for you. I truly thank everyone who has given me their honest feedback on my posts. If you are the only one I’ve encouraged in the last month, then it was well worth it.

There are some exciting works in the future of Positively Puvis, and I hope you will continue to join me here. Oh, and if you checked my stories on Instagram over the weekend you saw that I was Flea Market shopping. In the picture above I snagged the Victorian umbrella and had to have it. I won’t be using it for decor in my home, but I will be using it for a future project that I will share soon. Again, thank you for your continued support and have a blessed Sunday. And, yay to my first month!
