This past week I was on a run with some co-workers, when we came upon a sign for an estate sale. On the way back from a 3.5 mile (by the way I was dying) run I noticed a sign for an estate sale for the next day. I can never resist an estate sale. I was there 8 o’clock sharp the next day, and oh boy did I find some great things and other things I will never erase from my brain.
So, I’m never really looking for a specific item at yard sales, estate sales, or second hand stores. I’m just looking for something that catches my eye that is neutral and unique. And, when I’m not looking for something specific, I’m relaxed and can snag the “one” piece I’ve needed to complete my decor look. It’s so fun!
So, I found this old crock pot, which was made in the U.S.A. for $10. It’s not an overly cheap find, but it easily brings charm rather than your standard flower pot. And, not only can this be used as a flower pot, it can be used to hold supplies, cooking utensils, or as a stand alone.
But, the main reason I chose this piece is because I wanted to cover an outlet beside this chair. It literally makes me cringe seeing an outlet sticking out like a sore thumb, especially when it’s wires. I’m sure you feel the same way!
So, while I was shopping at the estate sale I saw the MOST bizarre collection I’ve EVER witnessed. A clown collection!!!! This lady was a local clown and loved clowns themselves!
I mean for real, this lady was obsessed! But, that’s not the most bizarre thing i saw. Check out these masks!!!! I was like, “do what!!”
I hope you all enjoyed this as much as I did. The weekends are my favorite when I get to share a decor post. Have a wonderful Sunday! And, I will see y’all around here next time for Encouraging Words Wednesday!
